North Korea’s dictatorship started work on this 105 story hotel a few years after the country was plagued by massive famine.

For a full 16 years the North Korean leadership regime ignored the hotel.

In 2008 the hotel was coated in $150 million worth of glass.

Foreign guests have revealed that while the exterior now looks complete, much of its interior is still abandoned.
